Hockey weekend. We were on a travel hockey weekend trip… left the hotel and just drove to the closest pizza place on the gps. Loves the options for pizzas! Sat at the bar and got to watch them make and cook the pizzas! Loved it!
It took them 40 minutes to bring out pizza when the place was practically empty. With no apologies. Food was Ok.
Emilio’s Brick Oven. I ate here a couple of Fridays ago with a dining companion while we were trying to waste some time before a flight out of Dulles. The decor of the restaurant is nice with a huge brick oven and items that you would expect to see in an Italian place.Whenever we walked up to the counter to order we were asked if we had ever been there before and confirmed that we had not. The cashier then proceeded to tell us about their items and the quality ingredients that the used. I settled upon a large Patate E Prosciutto for myself while my dining companion had a large Julian. Our pizzas came out a short time later. I probably should have paid more attention to the Patate portion of the title for my pizza as it came out with thinly sliced potatoes all over it. Unfortunately this was not mentioned in the description and although I should have recognized it, I did not. It made for an interesting taste to the pizza though and I really enjoyed the crispy crust that the pizza had and also the taste of the prosciutto. The Julian pizza was even better and whenever some of it was left I was disappointed that I had eaten my whole pizza myself leaving no room for more. The bottom line for me is that this was the perfect place for my companion and me to hang out while waiting for our flight. The pizza was delicious with great ingredients and the service was extremely friendly to me. If I am ever back in the area and craving some pizza I would gladly head back.
