Delicious Chicken Bulgogi! I tried this place for the first time tonight, and I loved it. The flavor was perfect, the chicken was tender, and it came with plenty of rice, and a small side of bean sprouts and kimchi. Ended up paying $16 for it though, which seems expensive for a chicken and rice dish. Nevertheless, it was plenty of food and I’ll definitely be back, yet probably just for the lunch prices.
Had the kimche stew, very good just the way I like it. So happy this is so close to my house, will be eating here often. This was the fourth Korean place I’ve tried since moving here, and by far the best
Expensive Dinner. Ordered beef bulgogi and chicken bulgogi. Extremely good. Flavors were amazing but dinner was expensive, wasn’t expecting to pay that much but the decor when I walked in. I’d definitely eat here again regardless of price. It was that good!
The best dishes served!. – the best fried dumplings i have tasted in a very long time.- have not found a soup as spicy as this since my visit out west.
Was good nothing special about it though.. This restaurant is located in an ethnic strip mall off Warwick blvd. This is a rather small place, like most local Korean restaurants tend to be. They serve traditional korean dishes and also make sushi. I had the pork bulgogi w/fried mandu. I found their fried mandu lacking any real flavor, and the consistency was much more in line with an egg roll. The pork bulgogi was flavorful and tender, but not the best cut of meat in comparison to other local Korean places I have tried. Service was quick and very friendly. They did have the radio playing and a TV on CNN, if that is what you are into. (no WIFI). Prices were fare and they do offer takeout.
One of the best in Hampton Roads. I have been eating here since it opened. It is one of the best places to get authentic Korean food outside of Korea. They make no concessions for American palettes as it should be. I will say quality is not as good as when they first opened many years ago but it is still quite good. I would give it 7.5 out of 10 stars.
Walked into the place to order sushi and was immediatly concerned, the decor was mote than dated, floors sticky and either the A/C was out or not even turned on because it was very warm and humid inside. Still ordered the sushi though. The chiller that the fish was in seemed cold from the outside. Sushi was prepared well however the fish did not smell fresh. I ate the two rolls I got with smoked fish however the actual raw roll I didn’t touch. I wasn’t chancing food poisoning. Even though I did not stay to eat, I carried out, it’s not worth it at all. Just avoid the place.
