One of my favorite sushi places in North Suffolk, and it’s a shame because Koi is equally as good. Given the choice between the two, the ambiance is much more relaxed and romantic at Yoyo, but either place has fantastic food. Yoyo has the freshest sashimi (salmon is my favorite), and the spicy tuna rolls are extremely satisfying. This is the first place that I’ve ever enjoyed eel nigiri, so if you’re nervous about trying something new, this is probably your place to try it.
Yo Yo Sushi is a decent little Japanese restaurant. My favorite thing here is the Sashimi Yellow Tail. The price isn’t to bad and it comes with a decent salad, soup, and of course rice. The service is always excellent. The environment is warm and welcoming. The Sashimi is fresh cut and presentation is beautiful. If your a Sushi Fanatic then this will be a run of the mill spot for you. But if your the occasional Sushi diner then this place should be right up your alley. They are doing a good job. Not the greatest place for Sushi, but certainly not the worst and definitely good. They also have a great selection of Japanese Saki and of course serve Sapporo Beer. Give them a shot. Its a fun place!
Food is fresh and the staff is friendly. Great lunch specials.
Amazingly fresh and friendly. I do not eat sushi but the pho soup and their chicken teriyaki is amazing ! The family that owns the restaurant are absolutely dedicated to their customers with their great customer service !
Not great, but not awful. I grew up in a Vietnamese household and I know good Pho. Yo Yo’s Pho was average, the broth was good, the amount of meat that was in the pho was very little. It looked like they took two beef balls and cut them into 8 tiny pieces, and I only had 3 small pieces of beef. There are definitely better options off Newton Road in VA Beach. If you are looking for good Pho head to the hole in wall on Newton. If u want ambiance and average Pho go to YO YO. Now the sushi was GREAT, probably the best spicy tuna roll I have ever had. I personally would not go back, because I love good pho over good sushi any day of the week.
Pho. The Pho is wonderful! I would highly recommend for anyone to give it a try. The meatball is my favorite, my son liked the chicken, and I’m going to take my vegetarian sister there for the tofu. I would also recommend the almond shrimp appetizer, out of this world!
Yo..Mo Pho!. This is my third Pho Restaurent on the southside I have been to. It is the BEST. As all Pho lovers know, it’s all about the broth and Yo Yo serves the best. It is rich and has a depth of flavor others lack. Nice atmosphere that is more upscale than others. Good service. I will be back for Mo Pho.
