Richmond’s best Sushi value!. The GOOD: Great Sushi–I mean premium tier. Fresh ingredients. Colorful presentation. Huge menu. Good service. Interesting beer selection. Extremely reasonable pricing (Two can eat for $40!). Fun, bodega-like vibe. Smal bar.The BAD: Tiny–we’re talking six tables. Loud and a little crowded. Long wait on friday and saturday nights. Borderline neighborhood.VERDICT: LOVE it! This might be the best sushi in Richmond. Given the low prices, it’s *certainly* the best Sushi value. Go at 5:30 on a friday or saturday to get a table without the long wait…
So fresh. Akida doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the sushi is so good. They have the freshest fish out of all of the other sushi restaurants. This is my favorite sushi spot!!
Very small and cozy. Excellent food and service. Try the unfiltered sake, its delicious! I’ve always been very pleased with everything there.
Best sushi in richmond. I’ve never been less than completely satisfied with the quality of sushi and service.
Come early. Sushi was ok. Has to be the smallest restaurant I have ever been in.
The fish was slightly warm from the chef holding on to it for too long. For a skilled sushi chef, I don’t think that is supposed to happen. For a sushi of such quality, they are way over priced. Go to Sushi-go-around by Cox and broad, you can get two pieces of mackerell for $1.50 while Akida serves 1 piece for $2.50. So is the high price for better quality? I can’t taste the difference to justify paying so much more.
