Bummed!. Visited Lady N’awlins for dinner. Had the gator bites and jambalaya. Jambalaya was lukewarm and tasteless. Gator bites were amazing! My friends ordered the etouffee and crab cakes. Both were pleased with their meals. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the waitress who seemed completely disinterested in offering the most basic service… actually huffed when we asked for napkins and flatware. I won’t visit again.
I wasn’t impressed by the meal… service was poor. But I will be back out to visit other restaurants in the fan district.
Awful…absolutely awful. I gr,ew up in New Orleans and had hope …against my better judgement because of past experiences in other places. Ignorance is truly bliss!
This is a Hit. Yes, the seating can be a bit treacherous in the back. Yes, parking can be a challenge, but let me tell you good people: you CAN’T beat $5 Po Boy Mondays! The shrimp is plentiful, plump and crispy. The bread has just the right amount of crunch and chewiness. The mayo should be flavored, but whatever, the home cut fries makes it a great meal. They do an AMAZING grilled oyster…get the cajun butter variety (herbed butter was not as yummy). The bananas foster and gumbo wasn’t anything to brag about, but hey, I still love this place and want to try er’ thang on the menu!
Shrimp po boy is pretty tasty, as were the gator bites. The red beans and rice were…ok…but not spectacular.
Go for brunch!. My first experience at Lady N’awlins wasn’t anything spectacular: Went for dinner, ordered the Grillades and Grits and wasn’t too impressed. Went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and was totally blown away. Lots of unique Cajun dishes to choose from. We tried the Gator, Crawfish and Andouille Cheesecake(which was basically a crustless quiche), the Crawfish and Andouille Crepes and the Oysters Rockefeller Eggs Benedict. All were absolutely fantastic. Really, I can’t say enough good things about these dishes. Lady N’awlins is must-try for weekend brunch.
Will not be returning…. Everything was overly salty.
