Needs work on some food items. Metro has a great atmosphere but the food was disappointing. We got the meatloaf and salmon dish. Both meats were dry and not fresh. It was obvious that they had made the meatloaf the day before and just reheated it on the stoves. It was very gamy tasting. I didn’t try the salmon but my boyfriend was not pleased.

We came here since we had a groupon. Even though this place had tables and booths, mostly the people there were standing by the bar. I got the tuna steak sandwich which was cooked perfect. My fianc had the special RG3 burger. That thing was huge. It had 3 patties, 3 different cheeses, and 3 different condiments on it. I can’t believe he ate the whole thing.

Not a great experience. It took over 10 minutes for the server to come over to us, and there was only 1 other table in the entire restaurant. My buddy and thought the food wasn’t very good, especially because my burger was well done when I asked for medium, and his tuna was rare and pink throughout when he asked for medium. Inconsistent grilling…11 Nov, 2010Not bad for Robinson St bar food. More upscale than other spots on Robinson, and a cozy atmosphere. Drink specials are good, and the food is better than average, slightly more upscale, bar food. I usually always get the Diablo mussles as an app- good mix of garlic and spice. Best place for a date on Robinson St.

Awesome. Ordered the New York strip which was cooked a bit rare of medium-rare but was delicious. The Mac-and-cheese side was great as was the asparagus. For the price you couldn’t ask for more.

Surprisingly good. Though we’ve never ordered food at Metro before, we decided to try it out after hearing that they’ve revamped their menu. Ordered the chicken livers appetizer- they were unavailable, so we opted for the Lobster Dip. Huge pieces of lobster meat! Really, really tasty. For our entrees, we ordered the Shrimp and Grits and the Ravioli..both were very good and filling. Service was great as well!

Pleasantly surprised. I’ve lived in walking distance to Metro for years, but had never been. I was curious about the recent renovations- so wandered over there for dinner. My partner in crime ordered the fried chicken, and I was jealous the second it hit the table. It was not only pretty, but absolutely delicious- crispy, savory, juicy and not greasy at all. The honey butter rosemary glaze really made the dish, and the mac and cheese was equally tasty. I ordered the shrimp and grits which was also delicious, although lacking in presentation (maybe a little green garnish would’ve helped it out). This didn’t keep me from eating everything but the shrimp tails. Two clean plates? I would go back. Oh- and the place looks great too, but of course a bit loud being it’s a bar. The window is a great addition.

One of my fave’s. Metro Grill’s menu is awesome. The quality in their dishes and entrees are not lacking in any area, even their brunch menu is more exceptional than others. I got the Cajun Beni, very tasting but it was lacking crawfish, the stuffed french toast is awesome as well. The menu prices for brunch are slightly higher than other brunch menu spots, but I think it’s worth it. The Shrimp n Grits and Pasta Courtney are above average as well.
