The roof deck is the only good thing about this place. The water is unfiltered and disgusting and three out of five of the glasses of beer we ordered smelled like mold. The food is microwaveable with a fancy description and a high price.

First date. The heat lamps up on the deck got us to the cozy we, as in my first date and myself needed to be but the food was horrible – not to mention when we walked in all of the chefs were outside/ semi in smoking next to the kitchen, I prayed they washed their hands. My burger was ordered well done, which he had gotten the salmon dish ordered med rare, the plates walked out shortly and me always getting burgers well done, I was presented with a med rare burger, cold collards that clearly had sat under a heat lamp and the poor salad, it too was warm with little dressing and lack of flavor. I was so appalled, since he enjoyed his dish – I ended up paying for the entire meal. I will never go back to that place again. The bartender was great!

Sat 12-6-14. The food our party of 4 ordered was well done, tasty, and had a nice presentation. Service was adequate: remember when serving burgers(even fancy smancy burgers) to bring the ketchup! More importantly, when giving a beer sample make it on the house. Don’t tack on $1 for a beer sample – that is pretty tacky. And that is usually the first sign that a place is not doing too well as in will close in the next year. We can go on the tacky light tour to see tacky – we don’t need to see it displayed in your restaurant. Or at least put up some flashing blue lights….

We sat on the deck on a beautiful day. The deck was full and only two servers. The service is terrible!! The wings are tasteless, overdone and not a full dozen. We were all very disappointed. It’s a shame because it really is the best deck on town. This place could be a great place, if they could figure out a menu that works and improve the crappy service.

The atmosphere would have been great, were it not for the overwhelming noise. Our waitress had lost her voice from screaming over people. Food service was good, but food was mediocre. Bartender Mike was the rudest service-industry employee I have ever encountered. Would have given the place another try if it were not for his rudeness.

I’ll give it another try. My dinner club visited Postbellum last night, and I didn’t LOVE it, but it was enjoyable. It’s a beautiful space, and the service was very good. The beer and wine list was quite nice, but because they serve in carafes, it can be difficult to figure out whether you’re comfy with the particular price point. I really enjoyed the salmon clam chowder, and one friend loved her salmon dish as well. But the Brussels sprouts were so very salty, i had to drink quite a bit of water for every bite. The salads looked okay, but they were mostly lettuce. Around 7 on a Wednesday night, it became fairly difficult to hear each other. I really liked a lot about the restaurant, but it may have just been an off night for the food we ordered. We all the prices were reasonable; with a couple bottles of wine and either two small plates or one large one each (and one dessert for the table), we were at $40 each, so not bad at all. I will go back and give it another shot, because there was a lot to feel good about.

Foodies Paradise. First, I must start off with the superior, professional, knowledgeable, friendly service we received from our bartender/server Lincoln. That being said, let me get to the food… It was all to die for. The frites were awesome and the Marville sauce was so tasty we kept it on our table for our main dishes. Please do yourself a favor and try the sausage craft or the rib-eye, or the shrimp cracklin. This has to be the best new restaurant in Richmond. Hands. Down.
