I was staying the weekend at the Sheraton Tysons Corner for a convention. Since I had time on Sunday, I decided to walk farther from the hotel for food. Pho Deluxe is in the same building as Potbelly and only a block farther away than the usual restaurants we dine at near the hotel. I thought the food was rather good. The autumn roll (a variation of a spring roll) seemed fresh and had a tasteful mix of ingredients. I noticed the Mi Tom Thit (yellow egg noodles with pork and shrimp) was very similar to Malaysian wonton mee, with a few changes in ingredients. That said, the broth was flavorful and they didn’t skimp on the meat and bean sprouts.What drags this place down though is the service. The server was curt beyond belief. At different times, she either ignored the table or rushed the ordering and payment. Also, it was uncomfortable hearing her criticize a fellow employee loudly in the dining area, even if it wasn’t in a language I understood.
