Figured that if the President dined with the President of Korea here that it would have been better. Having lived and travelled to Korea often, I am quite familiar with good versus bad Korean. The service was poor but I has expected it to be so. The food was overpriced. The Bugolgi was of poor quality and served with iceberg lettuce instead of bib as it should have been. It also lacked the whole garlic cloves that are standard with the dish. My date, also a frequent traveler and former resident of Soul had the Bibimbap served in the hot clay pot. The first that came out was so hot it had burned the entire bottom of the dish to the point it was black and the rice was smoking. It was inedible and had to be replaced. The second was also starting to burn so it we poured some of the soup in it to keep it from burning. Then the Kimchi. I have fond memories if the endless plates of Kimchi served in Korea. They never seemed to end and were constantly replaced. The Kimchi was good but quickly vanished and never saw a replacement. As a side we had the grilled asparagus. It was to have the Korean soy and ginger glaze, but it was used so sparingly that it was hardly noticeable and ended up rather bland. After being excited about the place going there we left disappointed and let down. The quest for hood Korean will continue, but likely never again at this place.

Terrific Service!. Ordered Bulgogi — everything was authentic! Awesome experience… much better than the Korean restaurant experiences Pittsburgh, PA has to offer. Parking lot situation was a bit confusing…

So dissapointed. This used to be one of our favorite places when we lived in No Va. We used to frequent the Crystal City location. Went to the new location in Tysons corner last week and am so sad to see the quality of food decline. They now serve very small portions of the Korean BBQ and the waitress never asked if we wanted the large or small portions of the fried dumplings. We were stuck and had to pay for the large.

Wish they would open up in Pittsburgh. We took the family to Woo Lae Oak last Friday. I’m not generally a fan of chains, and the size of the restaurant gave me pause. Once we were seated, however, we had a great meal. We didn’t understand the bottles of Saratoga Water on the table. When I made it clear we wanted tap water, it was no problem. One dish didn’t make it with the others. A word to the jovial manager however and it arrived, and at no charge. Both the beef and seafood bibimbop were incredibly good, and the little traditional sidedishes were the perfect start. Can’t wait to return.

A good place to explore the Korean barbecue. Lovely decor inside but the food doesn’t go with it, besides, the portions are too small. Services were terrible, nobody will attend to you unless you ask them to.
