Dream Diner. Small, hidden, wonderful. We went to breakfast Friday morning, believe me mid week mornings probably are recommended. Seating is limited. We ordered the creamed chipped beef on toast, or as my retired Air Force father called it, S.O.S (you figure it out). Wow it was great, just like my mom’s (except my mom chopped hard boiled eggs into hers). The view of the beach that morning added to the atmosphere (we saw dolphins playing out in the surf). We casually ate until the lunch crowd started in, we weren’t rushed out, but we knew it was time to leave. Service was pleasant. Under $20, well worth a visit.

Great diner. Good view, good food. Both of us had the patty melts for lunch and enjoyed eating at the diner as well as staying at the hotel.

Every time I eat at this tiny coffee shop it reminds me of the good ol’ days when eating out (especially breakfast) was a big deal. This is the kind of place that never changes, a rare thing inu society today. I love the basic menu and the satisfying, hearty breakfast that goes with it. Eggs, link sausage, grits and toast and a side of old fashioned tasting pancakes. Plain and simple, it’s best breakfast around. Just the way I like it!!!

I expected this to be a diner-type restaurant, and it was, but tastier and fresher than I anticipated. The maximum occupancy of the little locale is 32, so be prepared to wait for a table. We waited for at least fifteen minutes, possibly more. While the food is good, I would not recommend parties larger than four going as a group, since you will be split up unless there happens to be an opening at the bar. The booths will seat four tightly; two seems to be the perfect number party number here.I ordered the Western Omlette, which interestingly came with bacon instead of ham and a side of hash browns. Both were very good, though at $2 extra for the hash browns, I expected a larger serving size. The taste was great, though. Service was speedy, but the pressure of a line forming out of the door somewhat compelled them to be prompt and attentive–and for us to inhale our food. Another nice feature besides the quality of the food was the view from the large windows in the restaurant of the boardwalk and ocean.Overall verdict: great place for a quick bite to eat, but be prepared to wait in line.

Best chipped beef. We visit here every year when we are in town. The chipped beef on toast is the best! 5 stars

I have been living here 30yrs. There are three, use to be four favourite breakfast places of mine. The Dixie diner in P-Town gone to the mighty chef in the sky. Then there’s one still in Ches. and Norf and of course yours truly in Va.Bch. Enjoy your entree. I always do and will again in a few mins. Can u guess the other two? Go find them ,Happy Breakfasts.
