Know your seafood…. First time at Bluewater Seafood, it was recommend by a friend, nothing super special about the place, but the food was outstanding, the guy behind the counter, rough around the edges, but listen to him, he know his seafood. I got into a conversation with him, but it was short, the phone was ringing off the hook. If your there for the conversation or don’t have a clue what you want the customer service is quick and you need to be ready…the fresh fish platter with cornbread…simply stated Awesome!

Could be a bit nicer.. Went in to purchase some Oysters for Labor Day. The gentleman helping me was nice and helpful. The owner on the other hand kept giving me the evil eye the entire time. I wasn’t even asking him the questions yet he kept butting in with such an attitude. Funny because a regular came in a few minutes after me and the owner was just as jolly as can be. Not enough to keep me from going back but its definitely something the owner should realize.
Just wrote a review. I was ripped off by bluewater of a bushel of oysters. A bushel is 29.35 gallons. I have a 20 gallon tub. A bluewater bushel was about 3/4 of my tub. Again stay a way from this place. He may know seafood but dishonesty is not a good way to do business.23 Feb, 2013What a ripoff. I ordered a bushel of oysters. It may be a bit over a 1/2 but definitely not a full bushel. Dont you get ripped off them. I will never go back to bluewater seafood again.
Most knowledgeable owner in town. This guy knows his seafood. Tim worked as a wholesaler and worldwide buyer for years before taking on this business locally. You can buy seafood here that normally only the restaurant owners can get. Always fresh and with good guidance on preparing what you get if you need it.If you want the best from the sea FRESH, this is the place.
BAD BAD BAD Food & Customer Relations. Would not accept the Groupon! Groupon expired May 2nd. Today, May 2nd went to redeem the Groupon but business said that it actually expired at midnight, 0001 hours on May 2nd. So here it is at 3pm on May 2nd and the business would not accept the Groupon. BAD BAD way to do business. This business should not have participated in Groupon if they weren’t playing by the rules. Groupon agrees that it should have been accepted.I did purchase some steamed shrimp and cornbread. The person waiting on me appeared to be annoyed because he mumbled that one of the steamers was broke. The cornbread was soggy.
Poor Customer Service. I received an email reminder from Groupon that I had a purchase that was expiring today, so I ran to Bluewater to use my $30 certificate. I was abruptly informed by the owner/manager that at his discretion he does not have to honor the coupon expiring today. He did not honor any Groupons today, because he said they expired today, yet they have today’s date on them? Instead if the $30 certificate we purchased, he only honored (through his legal agreement with Groupon) the $15 the certificate cost me. This is not the way to win and keep customers, nor will I refer any business to him! Shame on Bluewater for poor treatment of customers. There was another customer in front of me with the same issue. This manager was not apologetic or friendly, so I say STAY AWAY!
