Highly Trained Staff…. As a former coffee shop owner (a cyber caf back in the day: https://www.facebook.com/spilledthebeans), I highly recommend Caf Moka as the best coffee shop I’ve found in Hampton Roads. I try to have my meetings there and introduce/treat others to their fresh menu of espresso based drinks. The staff is obviously very well trained because they are not only knowledgeable about their products, but eager to perfect and delight customers with extras… (ex: You’ll often get a Latte Art Rosetta on your drink.) One thing you’ll NEVER get is a screaming steam-wand at their espresso machine… Just yesterday, I enjoyed the perfect sizzle-sound while they created my Cortado. Ask for what you wish, because they love to make you smile and customize your order. Thank you, for many tasty treats!
AMAZING brewed coffee bar, as well as the best espresso in Hampton Roads. I learned to drink coffee black here. Brew method options include Hario v60 pour-over, Chemex, Aeropress, Clever, and Siphon. Espresso-based beverages include everything from traditional lattes to the signature Mokatini, or if you are really wanting something wild, try the Vanilla Coke Macchiato (a carbonated espresso beverage that explodes if handled too roughly!)
Cafe Moka is the Best!. Ever since they opened, I have been a regular patron of Cafe Moka… and I have never been disappointed. There simply is no comparison between their amazing coffee, lattes, frozen lattes, smoothies, etc. and those made at national chains. The baristas are very knowledgeable and take great pride in serving you the best beverages. I highly recommend Cafe Moka, whether you are a coffee drinker or not, they will have something you will love.
Closed on Sundays? Surprising and disappointing. I would have expected the weekends to be busy days for a coffee shop.

Unmatched Coffee. It’s evident the owner views each cup of coffee as a genuine work of art. When’s the last time a smiling barista spent several minutes unveiling a dozen ways your drink could be customized? The atmosphere is indeed ambient, making for a great place to chat or complete some work on the laptop (yes, they have consistent wifi). It is more expensive than some of the mainstream competition but as with all things, you get what you pay for.
Best Coffee. I love coming here 🙂 They have friendly staff and the best coffee, me and my husband come here to work, and relax, they play relaxing music that makes out for a calm atmosphere. 🙂 moka is great!
