Great View, Underwhelming Food, Nice Staff. Title says it all. The reason to go to the restaurant is the view; otherwise, it was below average food that is way overpriced. The best food that we had was the lobster ravioli; the worst was the salmon (overcooked and crispy on the underside). On the other hand, the manager and staff were very nice.
Take away the view and all that’s left is a Ceasar salad that is a pale imitation of what it used to be.Stuffy, pretentious, and stunningly average. 20 years ago this was the best on the beach not even close anymore.Go for the view not for the food. it’s a shame to see and old friend invite you dinner and then not not make an effort to welcome you or care what the put in front of you.
My wife and I went to Isle of Capri for our first wedding anniversary we both loved the view the food and atmosphere. I had the rack of lamb with roasted potatoes and vegetables and my wife had a chicken dish but I cannot recall the name but she let me try a little bite of her food and I must say I enjoyed every bit of my as well as the sample she let me try. The staff was very accommodating because we wanted a ocean view and they were more than happy to give us what we wanted. Pricey but worth it for the view , the service and the food definitely don’t pass this up great restaurant!!!! Quincy is a great server as well.
Surprised at how good this was being in a Holiday Inn. I had a delicious lemon, bread crumb encrusted floundert with pasta. Very fresh and yummy. But the absolute best part was the Mozart Cake! Holy cow that was delicious!!! The only negative is that I was seated by the kitchen entrance. Noisy and some less than acceptable conversation overheard by some servers in that area. No big deal though. Still delicious and I would recommend.
The food & service was EXCELLENT!! I had the scallops & they were cooked perfectly, which is a sign of a good chef! My children had the pasta primavera & added grilled chicken to their order & they both thought it was fabulous!! My husband had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo & he felt like it had the right amount of spice as well as good flavor. We also enjoyed the complimentary bread & olives before our meal! We would definitely recommend it!
Isle of Capri has an amazing 6th story view, impeccable service, rich Italian food and the only tableside ceasar salad. You don’t want to miss out on this great family heritage!
