Horrible local experience! Do not waster time or money here! Hair in my food and they didn’t do anything about it. Still had to pay for my bill. And on top of that, was charged gratuity for 3 adults, 2 children, even when the children didn’t even order a drink.
Our party of 5 popped in and just had beers and 4 shots of tequila at the beachfront bar. The shots of patron were $13 each and beers $5. The catch, he added gratuity to our bill. Who’s adds gratuity to a bar tab??? Never saw a sign stating that anywhere and in all my years have never had that happen on cocktails! Bartender seemed baffled half the time and no one was truly friendly. Prime location and great view but would never return considering we had less expensive drinks, better service and more enjoyable experiences everywhere else.

Follow up: it was all from a can, and the waiter screwed up the order. I tried to eat it to be polite but couldn’t. I had eaten less than a quarter and he told me that I couldn’t send it back. My mom got upset and didn’t want to pay for it because they started provoking her and talking about her in the kitchen. They also talked down to her and all crowded around her in a superior position as they proceeded to say they’d call the police if she didn’t pay the full bill. I have never seen anything like it in my life. I would like to add that my mother is 60 and the sweetest woman ever. I can’t even believe this happened. The customer is always right- but not at Jonny Mananas. Not Good. We wanted to experience something different this weekend during the Neptune Festival and came up on Johnny Mananas. Menu looked good, unfortunately it wasnt as good as it looked. Queso was cold, and the worse Margarita I have probably ever had. Service was ok, they were slammed, but I wouldnt of minded if the food was good. We didnt even get things like our silver ware or napkins… just bad all around.
Kicked out for having kids? We walked in with 4 adults and 3 kids. The waitress was really nice and seated us but then came back after talking to the cook to tell us they weren’t serving parties of more than 5 because they didn’t have the staffing. This seemed crazy because the place was almost empty. When I raised a fuss because it eat the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, she came back to say it was ok if we sat as two parties. We were just about to stay when I saw the cook in the back glaring at me and saying something indistinguishable. That’s when I said, let’s go. The waitress tried to apologize but the cook continued to stare me down. So we left and ate somewhere else. Once I started reading reviews online I was glad to see we did. Apparently the food is as bad as the service. I’m sure this restaurant won’t be open for long.
Awful food, awful margartettas, awful service, and overpriced. Stay away. Oh and they charge for sour cream. What the hell is that? It’s a Mexican restaurant, should come with the meal.
