This place has a very strange vibe to it. The property itself is aesthetically pleasing. However, there seems to be this weird archaic 19th century caste system in place. If you don’t know anyone who works there the more likely your customer experience will suffer. I would not recommend going to this establishment if you care for your own dignity.
All the bad reviews seem to be dated because everything we had tonight was out of this world! We stopped here after Baja Cantina was full, not expecting much seeing as the place was almost empty. Had the beef nachos, soft chicken taco (3) platter and crab legs. Everything was delicious and SO FRESH!! Nacho was probably in my top 5 ever, and I’m on a life long quest to find the world’s best! Crab was fresh and tasty albeit a bit on the small side. Got a full pound though, so no complaints there. Tacos were big, well dressed and super tasty. Service was fast and very friendly. Only downside is that we ate outside (in August) and within seconds of getting our food we were overrun with flies. Made the experience slightly unpleasant because we spent the whole dinner shooing the flies away, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. 5/5 across the board. Would DEFINITELY go back, for an indoor meal this time though!
Excellent fajitas and tacos! Delicious margarita for $3.
Luna-I’ll-Never-See-Ya Again!. My wife and tried this place for the first time this afternoon…HUGE MISTAKE! Lackluster service and mediocre food at best. Draft and domestic bottled beer $4.50; no happy hour. Draft beer was so warm we returned it for bottled beer. The chicken breast on the jerk chicken sandwich was a mere 1/4 inch thin ($8.99); pineapple salsa was tasteless. Don’t waste your time or hard earned money here. Tourist trap!
Forgot to add that outside is pet friendly!15 Sep, 2013Great brunch spot! Indulgent, delicious food (doughnut burger!) & awesome Bloody Mary bar. We will return for sure.
Came here for brunch, as plan B. Sat outside. Food was AMAZING. DOUGHNUT BURGER…… get it. Good service, great bloody bar for $2! As a local will definitely return.
The food was a little pricey…but it is va beach. We had a little bit of a wait to get a table and a server..but once he got to us he was phenomenal. We always hadfresh drinks..not to mention the food was great! The decor of the restaurant was very elegant and cozy. This is definitely a place to eat if you are in va beach!
