We went with the high school band and they were very accommodating for 20 people. However the food was very average (imperial crab was delicious though), I was expecting a lot more for the price.The service was good though, but the bathroom was outside and you had to get a key for it. I would not recommend trying it… I would rather spend 30 on a good entree than an average buffet.
Personally met the manager and explained kindly that my food had been very under cooked he stated he could warm it up in the microwave? I explained to him that we expected more from this restaurant then paying 40 bucks a plate for food that had not bee properly made. Needless to way the manager reacted in a way I’ve never seen before, he made my wife cry on our honeymoon. I have never been treated like such in my life, to say the least I would have had knocked him out if my wife wasn’t there for the way he so unprofessionally spoke to me. I hope the owner knows that his staff is ruining his reputation and his restaurant. Worst experience ever, I get better customer care at chik-filet for Gods sake.22 Oct, 2012Just walked out of the restaurant after paying 57 dollars for food that me and my new bride didn’t even touch. Manager yelled at us and told us we had to pay after explaining to him nicely that the food was cold and unedible. Told us he was going to call the cops if we didn’t pay, completely blew the situation out of proportion. None the less we paid and it’s over but the manager was so mean and cruel I couldn’t believe it, food was unedible. Very sorry to my bride for bringing her to this place on our honeymoon.
Great dining experience. Our family went to Neptune’s for Thanksgiving dinner today. We were all very pleased. The buffet was plentiful and everything was delicious. The men went for the seafood selections primarily: whole lobsters, large crab leg clusters, fried and peel’n’eat shrimp, oysters, clams, salmon. We ladies chose turkey (both roasted and fried), ham, and wonderful lean and tender prime rib. There were traditional Thanksgiving sides, a nice salad bar and a fantastic dessert display (cheesecake, creme brulee, pies, fruit tarts, coconut custard,and pudding were some of the items). I really liked the lobster bisque; very velvety texture and delicately spiced. Traditional and oyster stuffings were great, and the mashed potatoes were some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly, made a few recommendations of her favorites, and kept the table clear of used plates and promptly brought drink refills. We all agreed that we’d like to come back next Thanksgiving, plus try the Sunday Brunch buffet soon.I read some negative reviews, but do not understand why people were not satisfied. We highly recommend Neptune’s.
Not Recommended!. Neptunes has the worst service I have ever experienced!!!! The waitresses and the manager were extremely rude and very unprofessional. Our party of 11 ended up leaving before we ordered our dinner because the service was horrible! I would recommend Captain George’s if you are looking for great food and service! When you are paying $30 or more per person to eat dinner you should be receiving outstanding service…don’t waste your time and money at Neptunes!!!
Average. The buffet is 28.99 per person. The food was average. The service was good!
Total garbage, ate one plate of food from their buffet, nothing was fresh, shrimp was inedible. Pass on this place and you will be much better off.
Seriously?. My family came in prior to the dinner rush for a light meal before heading home to DC. After ordering drinks, we decided to have some appetizers, a few entrees, and share between the four of us. THe waiter informed us we would be charged $7 apiece if we didn’t each order a full entree. So we left after paying for our drinks. One more empty table for them on a slow Tuesday evening. Service counts!
