Love it service nice veryyyyyy friendly
Cheap prices and good wings not enough. Neighborhood dive or not, a place still has a responsibility to get the basics right if its going to call itself a restaurant. Service was dependent on how many cigarettes our chain smoking waitress had left in her pack. Aside from the wings, the food was mediocre at best. The hand cut fries were some of the worst I’ve ever had – sopping wet with grease and the majority of them raw.

It’s Poppa’s in name only.. We used to hang here pretty regularly in the mid 90’s when the original owners (The Poppa in Poppa) son Bruce ran the place. Even though it was a dive, it was a decent neighborhood hangout. Hard times fell upon him is my understanding of the situation and while he still owns the land, he sold the pub, and it’s been resold several times since.The regulars who used to populate the place are long gone, though a couple of the original staff remains. Some upgrades have been done here and the current motif is a pseudo biker bar, but basically the place is a complete dump these days. Low Rent would be the key choice of words. This is definitely a pass unless you want to go slumming.
Sketchville.. As you can probably gather from the other reviews, this is a cliquish townie dive on the outskirts of Virginia Beach. The food is actually not too bad (the usual bar fare-burgers, sandwiches and fried appetizers), but the staff and regulars will do their best to make you feel unwelcome.
Best Food and Pub in Hampton Roads. This Place may look a little Rough on the outside but the Food and the Regular Patrons are nothing but Great people! The Service is wonderful the Evenings Sunday through Thursday is Karaoke. Friday and Saturday its Live bands! I would suggest this to anyone who isnt afraid to think out side of the box! Coming from a small town back west these are the places that I love the most the small in the corner type of places. and in my opinion by far the best food in Hampton Roads area. You surely wont walk away starving and you surely wont be paying an arm and a leg either!
