Loved rudees! Came here on a suggestion from a local police officer. Great atmosphere, perfect portion sizes, and very affordable fresh seafood. Love their speciality drinks as well. The outdoor swing tables Oceanside were really cool.
Sorry, but not good.. I dined there for dinner last month. Sorry, but the food was not good at all. I had the crab cakes, which had no seasoning, the green beans were not tasty, and two small red potatoes. I did like the gliders but try to get a seat that’s not in the sun.
Go elsewhere. .Average at best. Waitress did not info us on the early bird special, then when we inquired and ordered she forgot the salad. She crab thicker than any I have had, and a good amount of crab. Shrimp early bird good, but get French fries, not red potatoes that were grey and cold. Veggies frozen and it showed. My crab cake was ok. What wasn’t was the cheap and stale bun, the wilted and old lettuce, and the tomato needing another two weeks in the hothouse. Server could and should have fixed the discrepancies. No manager in sight. Next door gets our next try, or one of the many seafood places on the beach.
Not a great choice.. After reading the ads, I was expecting a lot more. There were 4 of us, including my son, a trained Cordon Bleu chef. The place is not attractive and the food was unacceptable. The oysters were badly shucked and not fresh. The shrimps in the salad had been there a long time. If you want a sea food oriented Hooters, I would recommend this place. If you want good sea food and a better view with knowledgeable friendly wait staff go across the street to Rockafellers. We did the day before and it was a much better decision.
YUCK. If you like being cramed in a smelly corner,have drunks park your car,have surly airhead waitresses wait on you,eat crappy overpriced food and risk having your car stolen then this is the place for you.Otherwise go to Long John Silvers.It’ll be better!!11 Aug, 2013Happ Birthday. Went Sat night for a special birthday dinner.Parking valet was drunk.Waitress was surly,arrogant and unattentive.Food was overcooked,dry and way overpriced.Waitress asked once how everthing was and before I could answer she already turned her back.On leaving tried to tell the girl at the door about the drunk valet and was met with smirks and sarcasm.In the parking lot had to threaten to call the police before anyone would tell us where our keys were.Then found out they were just thrown on the floorboard for anyone to steal.We’re locals but will never go back to this place.Everything about it sucks and will tell everyone I know the same!
Not very good, there are better options
I was ignored. I went in and was told I could sit anywhere since I was a party of one. I sat down at the bar. There were only two other guys there. The bartender completely ignored me. He didn’t offer me a menu, he didn’t tell me if there was a problem or delay, nothing. He ignored me. Then a bunch of other guys came in and he took care of them, while continuing to ignore me. Maybe it was because I was the only person under 40 at the bar, but still, my money is green like everyone else’s and I wasn’t breaking any rules or being annoying. So don’t come here unless you like being treated like you’re worthless, or possibly being ignored because you aren’t ancient.There are a lot of crazy people in the world. One day they will be rude to one of them, or worse yet, rude to a crazy person with authority. Then Rudee’s will have to learn their lesson the hard way.
