Great Dining. Salacia is a great local Staple. Because of business dinners, we’ve eaten there 3 weekend evenings in a row. The meals have been consistently superb. The Softshells were fantastic, as was the Prime, Sea Bass, Mahi, and Tuna. My Ceaser salad was very good, and the tomato stack and maytag were equally tasty. the ambiance on the patio has the flavor of a South Beach dining experience… Nikolai, the Manager, was extremely attentive to our needs, very knowledgable on wines, and the dining experience was fantastic each time. Highly recommend!
Great food, ambiance and service. Me and my boyfriend went to Salacia for our anniverary. We were seated within 10 minutes by a very professional staff. Our Matre’d was fantastic and knowledgable. The food was unbelievable and the wine (German Reisling) paired very well with our meal. I would definately recommend Salacia and will be returning.
$280 (not including tip) Mistake. Our dinner consisted of a bottle of Pinot Noir which was better than expected, oysters as a starter, Cesar salad and crab bisque, followed by the fillet and lobster for my wife and the Kobe sirloin for me. Our sides were cream spinach and the roasted truffle potatoes. It took about 30 minutes for our oysters to arrive and when they came the server also brought my wife’s salad. I sent it back and asked our salad and bisque be served together. It seemed and odd mistake for fine dining. We were going to share the oysters and I would watch her eat a salad and later she would watch me eat a bowl of bisque. The fresh bread basket was a real treat, hot and excellently prepared. The oysters were some of the best we’ve had and we eat a lot of oysters. About 40 minutes later the salad and soup arrived which was the same salad we had sent back 40 minutes ago. The salad had sat sat on a servers tray and was room temperature. My wife is not one to cause conflict and ate some of it anyway. The crab bisque was to die for. About an hour later the mains arrived. I ordered my steak very rare. The pleasure of a steak cooked that way is the hot crusty outside combined with the cool creamy center. Once again it had sat on a servers tray, not even the hot pass and the outside was the same temp as the inside; cold. Such a sad ending for a $65 cut of meat. My wife’s lobster tail was cold and her medium cooked steak had retained enough heat to be slightly warm. The surface of the lobster had dried out and while cooked perfectly it looked very unappealing. The truffle potatoes were perfect and along with the oysters highlighted the meal. The cream spinach was cooked at such high heat the cream broke and the dish was basically blanched spinach in hot milk water. The sides were steaming hot and the mains were cold which tells me the server had removed the mains from the hot pass and waited and extended period of time for the sides. Most of that dinner would’ve been returned but after almost 3 hours of sitting it just wasn’t worth the time and aggravation. We saw the server maybe 3 times that entire dinner and that was mainly to up sell us on expensive water and deserts. I had to ask for a water refill twice. Just not what you would expect from the areas only AAA Four Diamond Steakhouse that touts fine dining with exquisite service.I sent the manager an email but heard nothing back. I sent a followup and still heard nothing. A simple apology would of been appreciated. They obviously don’t care which is why I’m writing my first ever review.
Enjoyed it all the way. My husband and I went there to celebrate our anniversary. We had great time and loved everything. The service was very personable and attentive. Great wine list and my husband had good time talking to their sommelier and exploring new wines. We definitely will be back.
Valentine’s Dinner. Amazing 5 course dinner Valentines Day 2011. Husband thoughtfully made dinner reservations early, we had an early sitting and enjoyed 2 hours of fantastic dining. Normally not a fan of fixed menus, they offered several choices for each course and it was superbly cooked and presented! Especially enjoyed the duo crab cake starter and butternut squash lobster bisque! Hopefully he will make next years dinner reservations there as well!!!
After reading a lot of horrible reviews, I was nervous when my husband surprised me with reservations in one of their private outdoor tables. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was amazing (after getting to the private area- the inside restaurant seemed a little cramped but quiet) the service was excellent even when we didn’t go all out on the upgraded waters and appetizers, and the food was amazing!! I would suggest they lessen the sides and salads portions and bring the costs down slightly on those, but the entrees were worth the prices… A very romantic dinner and atmosphere!
Over rated, we were excited to go and we were very disappointed.. The steak at Red Lobster is better…. There are better options out there
