Food was great and service was fast!. We went here on memorial day. The service and food was so fast, we were actually surprised! Feels very authentic and the food was amazing. Will definitely be going back!
Me, my friend and her fianc arrived at 5 PM on a Sunday to the Side Street Cantina. There were 2 tables in the dining area, and because there was no explanation and no one greeted us, and at the risk of looking ignorant, we proceeded to seat ourselves. We were ignored the first 10 minutes, eventually getting menus ourselves. Finally we received napkins /silverware from someone, then waters, then chips 15 minutes later. We ordered, then waited for a while for our drinks to be refilled, chips&sauces to be replenished (which did not happen until we asked). We had the pleasure of watching three members of the waitstaff ignore our empty everything and simply sit at the table behind us and play games on their cell phone or smoke cigarettes outside. Our waiter even hung around the kitchen window just chatting while eating lemons (wtf?) and running the pen he then gives you through his hair. Tuna tacos are good, green jalapeo is SPICY though! Cheese dip was goood but came lukewarm. Carne asada tacos were flavorful as well, the tortillas seemed very fresh. The saddest part was that the food seemed authentic! So best bet would be just eat at the bar or order to go because the wait staff clearly doesn’t give one.
Best ceviche and Cuban sandwich ever. Looks a little dark and scary inside, but don’t let that deter you. Best food in virginia beach
Wednesday night looking for a Happy Hour Dos Equis, found SSC with HH until 8pm. Wednesday was also Cali Burrito night. Fresh tuna burrito was GREAT as was the price….very inexpensive. Sat at the bar service was excellent as well. I’ll go back and try the $1.50 tacos during HH. VERY GOOD!!!!
Absolutely delicious! Everything was better than expectations. Service was wonderful, presentation was exceptional, & food spectacular. Very fresh & cooked to perfection. I wish I lived closer-this restaurant would be a very regular stop for my husband & I.
Some of the best street tacos’s and ceviche you’ll ever have! The customer service is awesome too! Side Street Taco is right off the strip and a great stop for any occasion:)
After 15 minutes of no service an two wait staff walkin by us not acknowledging our existence, we asked for the guacamole bill and to leave. Even when it was brought to their attention that they had not done anything, they offered no apology at all. That equals no tip and no business ever again…
