I want to love this restuarant. The concept is great, all you can eat, made to order sushi, but it is overpriced for the quality & EVERY SINGLE TIME I have ever been the service was horrendous. Bad enough to keep me from going again. The first couple times I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it seems to just be how they operate. Don’t get me wrong, it is good sushi, but the service kills it, from management down to the servers, bad. And really how much can you truly eat before you’re full? Not $16 worth. The price for what they deliver just isn’t worth it
My new favorite restaurant! The sushi was amazing and quite unexpected for all you can eat. The variety of rolls, appetizers, and other options for those that don’t eat sushi was fantastic. The price to value ratio is excellent. If more expensive, it would deter us because right now the price point is affordable without being too upscale (buffet and upscale is an oxymoron:) the bathrooms were clean. I don’t have many suggestions for improvement other than: I would have loved to see an ice cream bar or some toppings for the cups (or some dessert items on the menu); seeing the people in the booth right next to you through the clear glass was a little odd (design flaw); & it would be nice to offer a firefighter or first responder discount to support the locals as you do with the military. A veterans discount (maybe on certain days) would be nice too. Other than that, I really loved the meal!
I LOVE Sushi King! My husband and I have gone at least 15 times over the past 2 years. On the weekends the service is kind of slow but that’s understandable when the house is packed. Since they make each roll fresh it can take sometime but is absolutely worth the wait. Since they have lowered their prices They seem to be friendlier not that they weren’t before. They were even super sweet when my 8 month old played a little to much with her food.
Overpriced, run of the mill, Chinese buffet type sushi. You are better off getting sushi from your grocer.
We went on a Sunday evening and from reading other reviews we were expecting slow service and not too good sushi rolls. I don’t understand the bad reviews as our experience was way better. Clean, fresh and comfortable, our server was reasonably quick. We ordered an entree and sushi rolls at the same time. The steak hibachi was awesome – steak was done perfectly. The rolls came out after we were finished our entree (which came out not too long after ordering) The monkey rolls were yummy as was the volcano rolls. No complaints at all. Give it a try before dismissing it 🙂
Paper-thin SUSHI. Had the worst sushi dinner ever w. fam @Sushi King Centerville..ruined the night as I had to complain on the paper thin sushi on top of the rice…did not want them to waste rice and requested sashimi, but was told that was not possible. Requested several orders of salmon,white tuna, and octopus, and received a 21 piece paper-thin sushi on rice..talked to manager wtf and left w. fam ..most horrible dinner in recollection. Folks try your luck @ better Uptown Buffet, Yukai, Sakura, or Hibachi Grill on Holland Rd.
I agree with JJcoop. Nice decor but low quality sushi.
