Loved it! Great atmosphere, terrific food and service. Variety of dishes and superb fish/seafood, even some great vegetarian dishes. A definite eating destination at the beach.

Recently went to Tautog’s while in town on business. I was looking for some shrimp and grits and wasn’t disappointed. Service was very good and the food was fresh and had good flavor. I’d definitely go back and try some other entrees.

Really really really good! We went the ‘fancy’ restaurant last night and paid way more for sub-par food. I’d recommend Tutogs for the food, service & wine any day. Will definitely be back

This location is obviously right on Virginia beach, so as a local I would mitre commend trying to go here during busy season because you will definitely have a wait. The first time we came here because we heard it was good, but ended up waiting TWO HOURS for a table! Crazy! We were so hungry and had driven all the way out there so we just waited. It was decent, my husband said it was just above average and I agreed. The granola pancakes though were fabulous! We would go back but wouldn’t make a special trip out for it. If our family was in town and stayed on the beach we would definitely come here on a week day for breakfast. Avoid on weekends. ourfoodieappetite.com

This place was a total diamond in the rough experience. We hit it up on a whim and let me tell you: it was WORTH THE HOUR WAIT. If you swing by this area, hit up this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!!

I have eaten here at least a dozen times and have never had a bad meal. If the specials don’t excite you there are a couple of staples on the menu that you can’t go wrong with.

I hit quite a few restaurants in Virginia Beach while I was visiting and this one was my favorite. It came highly recommended from a friend. This popular local seafood eatery is set in a unique 1920’s beach cottage near the beach with both indoor and outdoor porch seating. The owners also own the neighboring Doc Taylor’s. The staff here was amazingly friendly. I had a few of them come and ask me how my food was and where I was from. The bartender took the time to give me several recommendations of their awesome variety of local beers. For dinner I got the Shrimp & Grits. I had never heard of this combination and it didn’t disappoint. The shrimp is sauteed in Peach BBQ and served over Jalepeno Cheddar Grits – yum!. The hostess came and sat with me after her shift and gave me the rundown of places to visit. I had a great experience and appreciated the warm hospitality. I look forward to stopping in again sometime. foodartandculture.com
