Refreshing for a Mexican Restaurant in DC area. What I find interesting about this place is the variety of items you dont find on other menus: crab and shrimp combos, lots of veggie options, and a long list of hearty soups. I agree with other reviewers that the margaritas here are good. Had the 1942 which leaves out the sugary lemon lime mix in favor of just fresh lime juice.
Our friends from Austin, TX recommended this place and we were not disappointed. It’s crowded and you have to wait, but the food is worth it. It’s authentic Tex Mex. I had the chicken enchiladas with a red wine reduced red sauce, topped with goat cheese. Delicious! Chips and sausa were also very good. Highly recommend.
Preferred the fajitas. Very tender and flavorful. Service was just OK. My order was wrong at first and service was slows.
All hype no bite. From all the great reviews I went in there with higher expectations than I should have. I’m not saying it’s bad just not as good as I expected. First off, hot sauce was not spectacular, food was mediocre, and the margarita was nice and strong. All in all not a bad experience. Just don’t set your expectations too high. Bonus got a free desert that night!
Awesome. The fajitacombos (with lobster, mmmmm!) are fabulous and at a great price! Have eaten there numerous times and taken the family there. The outside area is a little on the unsavory side, but once you enter you are in for a treat!
Quick service, good food, good drinks. Large portions, it’s a great place! Can’t go wrong here.
Reliable Tex-Mex (and Salvadoran too). The chips and salsa and guacamole are really excellent. Daily specials are reasonably priced and reliably good. Super Maragritas too.
