My wife and I shared a puled pork poboy and a reuben. Reuben was fairly tough, bread fell apart, her pork sandwich was tender, little flavor. We ate here at a friend’s favorite lunch place. Leaving, she and I decided we’d not be back.
The food was decent but the service and atmosphere were bad. I’ll look elsewhere in the future. I’m told if you sit at the bar the service is much better.
This place has a great location but the food ?not so much. Sub-par ingredients, not fresh, pub food. Like an afterthought to the beer.
Black Bear is a Warrenton mainstay. Menu includes comforting standbys like unbeatable burgers but chef is always experimenting. Grits and shrimp got a tasty new twist when topped with duck breast. Outstanding! Warm and comfortable downstairs. Known for unusual brick oven pizzas. Kid friendly.
Nice option for a hearty meal. I had a vegan Sloppy Joe which was very good but a little heavy on the cheyenne pepper. Service was attentive and pleasant. I was just surprised they did not have onion rings on the menu.
Stopped in while walking around Warrenton. The sandwiches were very good and plentiful. The pizzas also looked pretty good
