We have been there a couple of times in the past when we were in town. We have family in town who go there regular. Tonight was the worst experience ever. 2 hours to get our meals and 1 beer each. Manager didn’t really try to make anything right. We did get some discount but when we paid our bill the manager shorted us on our change. How incompetent can you get?
Wonderful service and great food. I had the rum butterbeer and the pub burger my hubs had the brat burger and a beer. It was excellent! I can see why they run out of butterbeer so quick it great!
Very good. We ate here for lunch while vacationing in Williamsburg. I thought the place was awesome! the food was outstanding. The burger with the ham on it was really yummy, and the salad was good too. Had the welsh rarebit for an app and I could have just ate that for lunch, it was that good. Also, one of the best waitresses I ever had, and that’s saying alot. She knew the menu, knew what to suggest, and knew right when to check on us. Really, really nice lunch. We’ll be back if we’re ever in the area again.
Stopped in for lunch on a Sat. Welsh Rarebit was cold, fish and chips were soaked and swimming in grease, kids pasta was basically plain with barely any cheese. And service was dismal. Even when we inquired about problems, we were basically given excuses. And waitress didn’t return once during out meal once the food arrived. Couldn’t order another drink or deal with any of the problems. Skip this one
Great Concept. Really enjoyed it, great beer selection and the railroad sandwich was excellent. Liked the dcor inside and it has outdoor seating.
Can’t Beat It… Lunch & Drinks for two For under $30. The food was great and so was the service, very friendly. The outdoor dining area was very nice as well.
Gone to the dogs……. Dined here on the 4th of July with my spouse and in-laws. The place was packed. Finally got a table outside. The server took the time to inform us that we’d be charged for every little thing except for water. I opted for water. It was warm and no refill was ever offered. My spouse asked for a side of BBQ sauce (2 tablespoons) and it was $1 up-charge. Really? I ordered a salad that lacked any flair. I’ve made better salads on the run, before work. The service was abysmal. Our waiter was invisible. The other diners ordered burgers that were dry and plain (ordered medium well). This place is simply a bar pretending to be a restaurant. The food is mediocre, service poor and prices designed to empty the wallets of tourists.
