Was in Williamsburg for vacation and needed somewhere to eat dinner for our final night. At first we were wary of going here because of the reviews but we ended up really liking it. Food was delicious and the waiter was extremely friendly. No complaints from our party.
Fireside Chophouse has the best French Onion Soup & Prime Rib EVER! The cheesecake is also delicious. The service is always friendly and efficient. This is a family owned establishment and they care about their guests.
One Trip is enough. No way and no where we could find our server after the meal – which took 45 minutes to be served – We ordered the most expensive dish Filet Mignon and Lobster’s Tail, for 45 dollars , that dish doesn’t deserve that price at all .
Horrible restauruant!. My family and I were traveling to Virginia Beach and decided to try something new. What a mistake. As soon as we arrived, the manager took us to a hidden corner, probably because we had kids. We had a very annoying waitress who kept interrogating us with personal questions. When I asked what kind of salad I could get with the entree she rudely said that she would tell me later. The entrees were very expensive and my kids were in tears because there was nothing that looked kid friendly and they are teenagers who no longer eat from the kids menu. We thought about leaving but I was too embarrassed. Next time, I will not be shy about doing so…My two daughters ordered chicken nuggetts from the kids menu and they tasted awful. I ordered a tuna fish entree that had no seasoning and was still raw. The baked potato had no seasoning either. My husband ordered shrimp that tasted rubbery and my son had a dry chicken with no seasoning. All this for a total of $80.00 bill and a rude waitress. Save yourself from having a bad time and a bad meal and do not eat at this restauraunt. I had checked the reviews from the Chop House but it was a very different restauraunt. This is the Fireside Chop House and not just Chop House. It is too expensive to eat out to have such an awful experience.
Decided to eat late and Fireside was one of the only places still open. Hostess was very friendly and service was good, but food was mediocre at best, and way overpriced for the quality. Would not visit again. Might be better during high volume time earlier in the evening.
I wish they were in Va Beach. Why do people go to Outback when there is a locally owned, fantastic steakhouse, with excellent service? We ate there tonight and from this day forward everytime I go to w…burg we are going to eat there. I find it unfortunate that other people don’t expand their mainstream horizons and try out something that local.
One visit was enough. A friend told me to try this place for a nice steak, so we gave it a shot. Wasn’t impressed with the service, this restaurant isn’t that large but the service was rather slow and inattentive. Their meat quality was pretty good, but my medium filet came out well. After dinner I paid by credit card, and signed both receipts, but when I left I accidentally left the customer copy on the table and took the store version. In midst of pulling out of my parking spot, the waitress ran up to my vehicle and made me swap receipts which seemed rather excessive?
