The staff were extremely polite and did an excellent job. Food was overpriced and below average in relation to the price. I had a New York strip, $26, medium rare, was overcooked and had no flavor.
H O R R I B L E. Just. Don’t. Overpriced under achieving meal for both my husband and myself. We were SO sorry we didn’t read reviews before going here. It was close to our hotel and that’s why we were there. Poor service. Overpriced. And the both of our meals were sub par. A waste of $.
The Jefferson restaurant is very quaint, we had excellent service and very good food. We had the fried chicken with the sugar-cured Virginia ham -very tasty. My brother had a thick cut of roast prime rib – very good. Our son had the Jefferson crabcakes – quite good. Our waiter even told us some local history. For dessert, we had the cheesecake and the pecan pie ala mode. All in all, we were very satisfied and will return.
Good service, good food, good atmosphere. I ordered a tuna steak and it was very tender.
It should be on kitchen nightmares but friendly service
Disappointing. My wife and I turned up on a Friday night and the place was mostly empty.My Chicken Spaghetti Parmigiana turned up as a gigantic plate of spaghetti topped with a breaded chicken fillet, cheese and tomato sauce slopped on top.My wife had fried chicken perched on top of a virginia ham steak, with bottled blue cheese dressing on a salad.It seemed quite obvious that the food was being made to a price and the quality and clientele has suffered… Gordon Ramsey – where are you?
15 minutes, no water. The four of us stopped by on Sunday and were promptly seated. 15 minutes went by without anyone coming to take our order or even give us water. As we left, we found the supervisor and two waitresses in the lobby texting on their phones. Really.
