Stopped here for a late lunch. The meal started off to a badly. Slow drinks and my hubby’s pasta came way before the kids pizza. The waitress told us the take out orders held up our pizza. You would think they would plan better for that. The pizza was ok but did not have a strong taste at all. This may be the best in town, but we wouldn’t know. Hubby didn’t like the spaghetti and tomato sauce.
Amazing fresh authentic Italian food. Comes with bread and salad with every dinner entree you order. Whole family loved it. They even substituted the children’s ravioli with Alfredo sauce for my picky 4 yr old son. He kept saying how good it was!!
Usually good pizza but Sunday was terrible. The pizza was barely cooked through. The topping we’re put on after it was cooked
Like a Little Trip to Italy. I grew up in an Italian-American family in New Jersey and I have fond memories of eating long, leisurely dinners at my own home and the homes of my aunts in New York. This past April my husband and I traveled to Naples, Rome and parts of Sicily and I enjoyed the amazing flavors of those areas. Since moving to Williamsburg in November, we have eaten at Sal’s By Victor on 3 occasions and have not been disappointed once. We’ve had three delicious, authentic Italian meals, rivaling any that we had in Italy or on our table when I was growing up. The menu is interesting and varied, and I would reorder any of the 3 dishes I have had (Pappardelle al Ragu, Eggplant Parmigiana, Cavatoni alla Capri). My dinner companions were equally pleased with their dishes. The antipasto was equal to the many that we tasted while in Italy. Dinner at Sal’s By Victor is like a little trip to Italy!
Not so great experience!. Sal’s was recommended by a friend who lived in the area years ago. Our experience here was disappointing. We ordered two items, one of which was the Sicilian pizza. The pizza looked great. However, the dough was not cooked at all in the middle making most of it inedible. It was very disgusting and unappetizing. Neither of us want pizza any time soon, especially from Sal’s. We mentioned it to the server and we were told another could be made. We did not have time to wait and in the end we were charged for the pizza. It was an expensive meal and unfortunately we would not recommend it to others.
We went here for the first time on a recommendation. All of our food came out on top of each other. We had absolutely no room for anything on our table. Our meals were bland and the chicken parm was more breading and less chicken. The smoked chicken ravioli pesto seemed to be processed and not freshly made and again, very bland. It was definitely not worth what we paid for it. With so many other choices in the area, we will not be returning to this restaurant!
Absolutely delicious! We had great service despite the place being packed. It was a pleasant atmosphere, very family friendly. The salad was disappointing, simple iceberg lettuce with a tomato but our entrees were amazing and the wine selection wasn’t bad either. The Godiva chocolate cheesecake was divine, can’t wait to go back!!
