No Service. This place was recommended by a friend, we went there to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary. Vacationing from Charlotte, NC. Reservation was at 7:30, got there a few minutes before, walk in and was greeted instantly and was seated at our table. After been seated, no one came to bring us water, bread, or greet us. Every table around us was constantly been severed, several waitress pass by our table every few minutes serving others. After sitting at table for 27 minutes and still no services. The place was not busy. So, we decided to leave, went to the front desk and told the hostess, why we were leaving. I personally believe what happen is not from poor service, again, I personally believe it because we are an interracial couple
Enjoyed dinner here tonight. Best lamb and quail we’ve ever had. The waitstaff was very professional and accommodating. Overall, a wonderful experience!
Amazing! I had the SOS bisc…. Amazing!I had the SOS biscuit with poached eggs. It was quite possibly the best tasting breakfast concoction I’ve ever had. That is all.
Just awful. When we walked in it smelled like dirty mop water. We should have walked out. I had an oyster salad and the oyster were not only burnt but one bite almost made me I’ll. It smelled and tasted awful. My husband had a sandwich and said it was pretty terrible too. Looks good but tastes terrible! Overpriced too.
Breakfast food looks great if you can get some. We waited for our order for 40 min and finally gave up. But the menu and plates which we saw going by did indeed look great
Pining For The Past. It’s been over a year since we last had dinner at The Trellis, which was one of our favorite restaurants prior to this evening. We arrived a half hour early but we were seated almost right away. I noticed that the restaurant was brighter in light and and color, which gave it a nice look and atmosphere. However the food was not up to the high standard which I had placed previously. My wife ordered the blackened salmon which came overcooked and dry. When we informed the waitress she told us surprisingly that the salmon is normally cooked that way and that it is only the tuna that is cooked rare in the middle. My daughter ordered the lamb which supposed to be cooked medium rare but came medium. To the credit of the restaurant the food was taken back and was replaced within minutes with the salmon and lamb cooked as requested. My mother-in-law ordered the shrimp and grits which was excellent. I ordered the pasta with mushrooms which very tasty and earthy. It appears that The Trellis has shortened their menu and changed it to what they had served in the past. One item that still remained on the menu was the sinfully chocolate dessert. We did not order it this time but throughout our meal the waiters and waitresses were bringing out the desserts to other patrons. This is still a very good restaurant but I have to say that it has come down a few notches from the best restaurants in the area.
I have eaten around the world in my 22 years of Army service and can honestly say that The Trellis is one of the best meals I have ever had.
