Service and food were excellent, I had the veg soup and the shrimp & grits, very tasty…hubby had the filet, he said it was perfect and our 10 yr old had the cheeseburger and he enjoyed it…worth it.

Avoid this place! Despite the convenience of a place inthe hotel, the service was one of the worst we’ve ever had; we waited over an hour for dinner food, even though there were hardly any other diners. Breakfast of oatmeal and hotcakes took 25 minutes. Food was bland, the meat was dry, and chicken cordon bleu looked like an eggroll in a pool of runny sauce. The oatmeal was good

The food is good, but the service is horrible. The staff is cantankerous, slow, and unapologetic towered customers. I will not come back based solely on the service.

Not worth it. I am more than willing to drive a little out of my way or pay a little bit more for amazing food. The Dancing Goat is outdated already. Portion control is one thing; the mini-meals that cost your weekly paycheck at the Dancing Goat are another. I ordered a rosemary chicken dish, dessert, and wine, and still left hungry. The wait staff was average, but really not bothered with timely service. The worst part of the evening was that a friend and I had both ordered a glass of the same wine, and the waiter stated that it was a better deal to buy the bottle, rather than two glasses. When the check came, I had been charged $42 for the bottle of wine. The atmosphere is nice, but far outweighed by the negatives of the food and service. Don’t waste your time when there are some other great restaurants in Winchester.

Good effort. I think this restaurant is trying to fill a void that does exist in Winchester, for a nice upscale dining experience. The food is OK, but the menu is limited and needs updating. People have told me it is too expensive for the size of the entree, which I disagree with. The prices could be reasonable if the menu was a little more inventive.needs workif you want an upscla experience, have a drink at the bar upstairs!
