I stopped in today looking for breakfast. I spoke with the owner’s granddaughter who was happy to fill me in on the details of the business that had relocated from their location of many years in Purcellville to this location just south of Berryville. The store is still a bit barren but with the grand opening last Thu (less than 1 week ago), it’s not too surprising. Based on my conversations, they’re adding products to meet local demand – in particular, beef brisket (a BBQ staple) and shrimp were mentioned. The restaurant also offers locally grown eggs and such interesting items as hickory-flavor syrup!! As I was tempted by the pies and asking about breakfast, I ended up opting for a pulled pork sandwich (for brunch). The sandwich was excellent, piled high with pulled pork and coleslaw on a very fresh bun. The BBQ sauce was sweet but not overpowering. The size made the $6.75 price well worth the money. Given their proximity to home, I’ll be back!!
