What a lovely, tucked away gem. I made a meal of two starters – the Kale and Bacon Salad along side the perfectly prepared Scallops…but it was the Honey Vanilla Creme Brle that knocked me out. Great ambiance, generous wine list, and laid back but attentive service. Highly recommended.
Food was just ok Service w…. Food was just ok Service was very poor ! It was not busy, and I would have liked better service, like water being refilled and another glass of wine! Sorry but we will not return!
Recommended with caution. If you have food allergies you may want to know the menu before you go. They would not make a simple substitution of rice for couscous. My second choice was good enough. Good food, well done. Could use to freshen up the bathrooms.
This restaurant is perfect! My husband and I have been trying to find a great restaurant in Winchester and have been dissappointed again and again. That is until we found this great place that uses FRESH ingredients, the service was fabulous, and the atmosphere is elegant and romantic! Go check it out!

Great restaurant!. This is our favorite restaurant in Winchester. Every course is interesting and imaginative. The menu changes with (I’m assuming) seasons and ingredient availability, and there’s a strong focus on local providers. Literally every meal we’ve ever had there was wonderful. The servers are great; helpful but not too intrusive. They know the wine list well. And the homemade truffles you get with your tab are wonderful.
Excellent Restaurant! Emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. Creative menu. Nice selection of wines. Chef-Owner Ed Matthews is always accommodating. Always a great meal!
