Peggy. SONA is my favorite restaurant in Winchester. The chef is amazingly creative. His butter chicken is unlike any found in the metropolitan area. It is delicious , since he prepares everything fresh and does not skimp on the spices. Most restaurants fix this dish with a strong tomato soup taste. You won’t find such ordinariness at SONA; Shiv, the chef, is a master of enhancing the flavor of every dish he prepares. The lamb dishes here, as well as the soups are extraordinary. In fact, everything is so tasty, you will want to return frequently.
Sona is a gem. The staff and food are the best in town.

I just finished my meal here and it was perfect! I don’t remember the actual names for it but I had a lamb ginger curry and my mother in law ordered chicken curry. We both ordered a spice level of 6. I wasn’t quiet sure what to expect sine I’ve never had Indian food before but it was awesome. The owner came out and talked with us and many other people dinning there and was very friendly and told us about some up coming events at the restaurant. I wish I could be there for he happy holi but maybe another year.

Special place. What a treat to dine at Sona. Some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had, and they completely cater to you while you’re there. My husband and I have very different spice tolerances, and our food always comes out perfectly. The owner is incredibly accommodating, and once he found out my husband enjoys trying new things, he made him several off-menu specialties. The folks there are just wonderful. Everything we’ve ever had there has been incredible.
