My family and I go to the Peking every time we’re in the area, so it is kind of a ritual for us. I always start with the Mongolian BBQ, which lets you fill a bowl with a variety of noodles, meats, veggies, and sauces, and then the chef cooks your food on a big circular grill. My personal recipe is two scoops of Mongolian sauce, one scoop of garlic water, one scoop of ginger water, and one half scoop of sesame oil. Then I head to the noodle bar for a bowl of noodles. Here, again, you can pick what kind of noodles and accouterments you want and the chef heats it up, ladles on some broth and hands you a big, steaming bowl of soup.Next, I’ll check out the sushi train. Sometimes there’s something good there, and sometimes not, so I’m not too disappointed if I walk away with only a couple of pieces. I had the spicy tuna and the California roll last time, and both were okay, not great. We usually end up going late in the day, so the actual buffet items look like they’ve been sitting quite awhile. (I pity the staff, who end up picking over what is left at the end of the day for their own meals.) But sometimes there is something good, like the Thai fried rice or the pan-fried dumplings on our most recent visit. The variety is great, though, so if you can get there at the peak times, that would be the way to go.Desserts include almond cookies, ice cream, Jello, and fresh fruit, but I’m usually too full to eat any of it!
Awesome Mongolian grill. So much food at such a great price. My family loves going there everytime we are in williamsburg. I recommend the Mongolian grill. And there are plenty of foods for picky kids as well.
Loved dining here for years, but the last three times, I’ve left wondering if I should bother going back. I kept hoping it was just a bad day for the restaurant. Unfortunately, I don’t find it worth the dining experience anymore. It isn’t awful, just disappointing compared to the quality I’ve come to expect from Peking. Raw sushi is only served at dinner, but that’s not on their website, so I was expecting sushi and the train wasn’t refreshed the whole time I dined. Other lunch options were lackluster – most of my favorites from past visits weren’t on the bar. Water to drink was horribly chlorinated. I’m so sad to see the quality of this place diminish, but I will be dining elsewhere for sushi and Chinese food until I hear good things from future diners of quality here returning. 🙁 Wishing Peking the best of luck.
Great place! Pizza for kids, soup, create your own stir fry, sushi ( was real good). Good value.
For a buffet it was awesome
Large selection but not a lot of good food. Typical chinese buffet under 10 for lunch . Sushi left much robe desired. I tried each of their offerings on the buffet and sushi . I didn’t go back forSeconds on anything.
Good selection of standard buffet items along with some fun new dishes to try. Sushi was acceptable, but it is a buffet.
