This pub is tucked away in Mt Pleasant, making for a surprising find. There was ample outdoor seating, however I opted for the bar. After some brews, my brother and I ordered pouting, which was the best dish of the night. The curds were fresh and slightly melted over the fries. The gravy was not filled with meat bits, making it easier for me to eat. Next, we had the sausage platter (one veggie, one regular) with pretzel bread, sauerkraut, and salad. The salad was poorly put together and the sauerkraut was too quickly made, which allowed for no fermentation or flavor to sink in. The pretzel bread was my favorite thing on the plate, the bread freshly baked with plenty of salt on top. The veggie sausage was flavorless and dry, though my brother enjoyed his German sausage. Our server was outgoing and helpful in our order, which made the experience overall positive. I suppose my review is higher due to the brews, the service, and the fantastic ambiance. The food, however, falls short of good.
