Terrible Service. I’ll preface this post by saying that Surfisde’s food and margaritas are great, even if they are a little pricy. But…The service at Surfside is terrible. I used to be a regular in there, but quit going after one of the main people that works there was incredibly rude and stingy. After paying $7 or so for a small portion of guacamole, she only filled up the bowl slightly over half way with guacamole a sprinkled a meager portion of chips on the side. I asked nicely if she could fill up the bowl and she growled that this is all it came with. I then asked if I could at least have a couple more tortilla chips and she responded by literally putting 3 or 4 more chips on the plate. I felt really insulted so I asked for my money back and she took it off my tab and arrogantly snatched the guac away. The week before, my wife had ordered a cup of soup for almost $6 and she watched them ladle the soup into the cup, and then amazingly decided it was too full so she ladled some back out. Really!?If they can convince people to buy their food at the prices they charge, that’s great. But don’t be so damn rude and stingy. All it dose is build up negativity toward the establishment. Like I said, I’m done giving them my money.
