How do you finally review a place you’ve been to dozens of times in the last 20+ years that holds a special place in your heart? My first taste of Korea was here. It’s changed ownership a few times since the early 90’s, but one thing has remained constant: the food is prepared by Korean hands. And I thank Fairchild AFB for that, because a lot of us service members came home from a year’s tour in the ROK with more than just the experience. Ain’t love grand? And so is delicious kimchi. No grandiose comments from me this time about the food, because I’ve had everything on the menu and it’s all wonderful. I will echo the sentiments from another reviewer that if you choose this place for lunch while working, you better call your order in 15-20 mins ahead. It’s always cooked fresh, and that takes time. I experienced this food years before I was stationed in Korea, but I will say that my dining experiences, then, were part of the reason I requested assignment to ‘The Peninsula.’ I love Korean food, and it’s nice to know it all started here…
