Simply Amazing.
Home is where the heart is…& the Bistro. I have dined all over the world and my heart – and palette – belongs to The Bistro San Martin’. The cuisine is creative, relevant and ALWAYS prepared to perfection by Chef Martin’ Estrada-Perez. The presentation is eye candy and just a testament to the love and care Chef Martin’ puts into his craft and his God given desire to delight every guest. Chef Martin’ made an excellent choice in Sous Chef, Olga, who assists in delivering flair and flavor in every dish and creates tasty amuse’ bouche! From the moment you enter the warm, cozy and stylishly eclectic Bistro you will know it’s special. Greeted by Steve Van Matre, proprietor extraordinaire, you will feel the warmth and quality of experience from the start. Steve is an expert on wine and will assist deftly with just the right pairing with each course. On any given night, you will enjoy the utmost in talent and friendly service from Becky and Rejoice who handle their full house with grace and always make you feel like a VIP. I recommend the Bistro San Martin for a dinner out or a special event. It’s always worth the trip to dine at this delightful gem in Arlington, WA.
Excellent!. My husband and I drove by this darling little place and decided to stop in – no reservations. (We had just dropped our kids off at Absolute Air Park and only had an hour or so before we had to be back to pick them up.) This is on a Friday night during dinner hours, mind you, so we weren’t expecting them to be able to accomodate us… But they did! They had us seated, fed and in and out in an hour exactly!! Perfect evening for parents of two kids on a time crunch! It was such great service and wonderful food that we took our kids and my husbands parents there the next time. My husband also took his staff there for their annual Christmas party! We love this place and can’t recommend it enough! One of the best restaurants we have been to in a long time!!
Incredibly Accommodating. We had such a wonderful experience at this bistro. We went for a special occasion and they were so accommodating–the service was superior. We had steamed clams in a creamy tomato broth (a special), oven-baked prawns, and crab cakes. The food was wonderful, except I was a bit disappointed by the crab cakes. They were tasty, but I was looking for big luscious lumps of crab and what I got was shredded. I would return in a heartbeat.
Definitely a destination place. Excellent service and food. The roast duck is my favorite. Watching Martin cook with the feather sticking out of his hat is always fun. Steve will make you feel like you’ve always been his best customer

Didn’t expect this in Arlington. Had an absolutely outstanding meal here the other night. Beautifully prepared scallops with risotto for me and a half rack of lamb with horseradish mashed potatoes for my wife. This restaurant wouldn’t be out of place in downtown Seattle, San Francisco or any other major city, yet here it is in a small town. Definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the Puget Sound area.
