This was the WORST dining experience ever! We ate here last night and were in a party of 7. They put us in a back room, and forgot about us until about 15 minutes later when they brought us menus and asked what we’d like to drink. There was no telling who our waitress was through the almost 3 hour ordeal because multiple people came during different times and none of them seemed to know who was doing what. We had to wait another 20 minutes after seeing the menus to order our food. Two people ordered clam chowder and one ordered a salad however they forgot to bring them until about 40 minutes later, at which time they brought 3 clam chowders by mistake. My partner ordered the prime rib with some potatoes that are supposed to be like scalloped potatoes, I ordered the chef salad which was supposed to come with romaine, and my son ordered a seafood platter which was supposed to have battered cod, oysters, clam strips, and prawns. There were two small children in our party, one ordered mac n cheese, the other chicken strips. About 15 minutes after we ordered they told us they didn’t have chicken strips and so that child ordered mac n cheese also. We waited for about another hour or more and I got up to go talk to a manager. The waitress I asked about seeing a manager was kind of rude, frazzled, and stressed. She pointed out that the supervisor was next to our table at that moment. The supervisor was talking to our party and made an excuse that they had a party of 12 come in. Well this is a restaurant, right? And it’s in a hotel too! That’s not an excuse. She said she’d discount our bill by 30%. So when the food finally came out, my partner had a baked potato instead of the other (which the supervisor picked up with her hands off my partner’s plate!!!! OMG), my salad was ALL iceberg lettuce, and my son had no oysters, but what was the point in arguing anymore then? We were all tired, exhausted, starving, and hangry! Then the check comes and it’s only discounted 15%…which wasn’t noticed until after we left of course because we were quite frankly just ready to get out of there. Oh, and let’s not forget to mention that they had a huge party come in to be seated in the same room with us, they were having a cannabis party we were told by staff at the restaurant because they wanted to see if we were okay having them sit in the same room as us. I didn’t have a problem with that, to each their own. However, when they started coming in I was a bit shocked…wizard pants, braided facial hair so long it was to this guy’s belly button, and several other interesting looking people. I don’t care what anyone looks like but don’t come into what’s supposed to be a nice restaurant wearing your wizard pants, looking like you haven’t bathed in a week, and not wearing any deodorant. The smell was awful, and if I hadn’t been so hungry, I’d have left at that point.
