Wonderful baked goods!. This cozy, welcoming European-style bakery is a welcome stop after a bike ride or first stop in the morning. I agree the deli case could be stocked with a greater variety of goodies. Sandwiches and espresso would be welcome additions. Unfortunately the owner of the pizza place on the corner has an exclusive agreement and no one else in the complex can sell coffee and sandwiches. Poor decision by building owners. It will be great to see what competition opens up across the street!

Not a restaurant. This is a local outlet for bakery goods baked in Port Townsend. While the bread is good it just doesn’t have the warmth and ambience of an on premises. The paltry deli foods selection could make it more interesting if owners would invest in some inventory and variety. This section has no relevance to the bakery goods. There are two other bakeries in our community that actually bake and don’t just sell bread from a remote location. By the way most of the bread is available at our super Town & Country Market.A nice location that could benefit from a good bakery or a good deli, this place is neither.
Enjoy Great Bread and Boutique Food. If you are searching for great bread and boutique foods to round out any meal, look no further than Pane d’ Amore on Bainbridge Island (with other locations in Port Townsend and Sequim). As you enter the door of this bakery and specialty grocer, you will be instantly struck with nostalgic memories of stepping into a European bakery early in the morning. Specialty foods crowd the shelves and may inspire you to break outside your norm and prepare something different for lunch or dinner. The warm smell of bread greets you at the door and the staff’s smile will warm you further. The bread is the main attraction and should not be missed – we especially like the Sourdough and Rye. This is also the only place to find a Canel that is truly representative of those you will get in Parisian patisseries.Other items include local cheeses, wines, beers, gourmet sodas (DRYSoda is our favorite), meats, crackers, chocolates and produce/eggs.
