Anne’s Restaurant. I am so surprised at the negative feedback for Anne’s. I have gone there with many people the last 18 years and none of us ever smelled pee, human of otherwise. It makes me wonder what the motive was of some of the people commenting negatively. My experience the last 18 years has been incredible. They are polite, the place is clean. Yes they have the brown rice option but have never asked me. I saw it was extra and wanted it. It was very fresh and I could tell it was ordered frequently. The veggies are cooked to perfection. The broccoli bright green still but cooked. Perfect. The veggie curry is the best I have found anywhere ever. My boyfriend who he and his friends have gone there for 30 years love it and have tried lots of the menu items. Sate’, pho, yakisoba, and many more. We have never had a bad experience or bad food. This is one of the best Ballard Asian Restaurants. Excellent.
Give Anne’s a try when in Ballard. Anne’s Teriyaki has a large, varied menu with many asian cuisine favorites ranging from Bahn Mi sandwiches to Pho to Teriyaki.Good food and lots of it at great prices and decent enough service. Anne’s is one of the last old time businesses left in Ballard.Bahn Mi sandwiches are 4 dollars and are large. Teriyaki will set you back about 7 dollars. A bowl of Pho costs about 5 dollars.(Pictures are posted of Anne’s food items)
Great Veg Pho. Light, flavorful broth with plenty of fresh, crisp vegetables, noodles and fried tofu. Very nice.
LOVE this place!. This place is great. The food is very well priced. Their Vietnamese sandwiches are too die for, fresh rolls (with shrimp) are cheap, gigantic and amazing. Their Pho is also up to most standard Pho places. I just recently tried their curry chicken and it too is quite good. Not sure why everybody else is giving bad reviews…?
Crap. This is the worst food I’ve ever had. Sad thing is I went back thinking maybe I just got a bad batch of chicken but it was even worse the second time. And yes the place does smell like cat piss
Very unimpressed. First, when you walk in you smell the very unappetizing light aroma of urine. I don’t know what this is from, but it’s gross. Then I was actually impressed by the low prices, but when my meal came I realized why: my portion was about half the normal size I have come to expect from teriyaki restaurants. As far as the food itself, the chicken was very low grade chicken and was covered with fat. Which is odd because on the back of their menu they specifically say they cut off the fat. The veggies were nice and fresh, and the brown rice was good. However when I ordered she asked if I wanted white or brown rice, but failed to mention that the brown rice was one dollar extra. Also, I don’t know if they forgot, or if their spice is just incredibly mild but I ordered my meal to be four star, and I literally could not taste any spiciness at all. Ultimately, I would stay away. There are much better options in Ballard.
Their fresh rolls come with 3 large shrimp and are really good. The peanut sauce wasn’t so great. It tasted like watered down peanut butter. Many flavors of bubble tea. Overall, a pretty good place to fine.
