Cute Mexican Cafe. This small Mexican Cafe is excellent. The atmosphere is inviting and charming. The customers seem like true locals. My girlfriend and I arrived about 6pm on a beautiful Saturday, thinking we’d have to wait a couple minutes for a table. To our surprise we were able to sit immediately. In fact, no customer who walked through the door had to wait to be seated. Perhaps this is because only local Sunset Hill residents know about this place…? The food was great. True authentic Mexican cuisine. The chicken tacos were delicious. The flan was also good.

Flavorful. Enjoyed a pork quesadilla and some sangria. Very good! Will go back again.

Great Neighborhood Spot, Despite No Margaritas. We are very happy to have this spot in the Sunset Hill neighborhood. It’s family friendly, service is incredible and the food is delicious! I enjoyed the veggie enchiladas (they are huge, so you could easily split with a friend) and hubby enjoyed the carne asada – which was a traditional preparation and tasted incredible. The only downside is they don’t have a liquor license, so you can’t get a margarita …. but they do have a nice sangria.

We found our resturaunt!. My wife and I visited this resturaunt the first week in February. We recently moved to Seattle and have been consistently disappointed with local Ballard resturaunts. Particuarly, the quality and price of food. To our surprise, this resturaunt has excellent dishes for a reasonable price. The chicken was incredibly tender. The carne wasnt the best Ive ever had, but it was really good. The salsa was unique, not like the typical tomato & onion salsa that you find at many places. Most of all, the fresh ingredients stood out. Overall, we were both impressed with the wonderful melody of flavors in each dish. The flan tasted very fresh and had a wonderful citrus zest to it! Highly recommended!

Small & cozy neighborhood spot. Great food – very fresh. Love to go there on the spur of the moment – it’s in our neighborhood. Tacos are fab.

Good food, slow service. The food is quite tasty, but we had to wait a LONG time for it.

Nice place for a cup of soup and fish tacos. The tortilla soup and the fish tacos are the highlight of the menu. It’s not a fancy place and the prices reflect that. but it is nicely decorated and makes for a very pleasant dinner out. service could use some help, but nobody seems to mind since it is so family and neighborhood friendly.
