I absolutely love this place. Cheap sushi that is very carefully prepared. It might be simple but it’s extremely refreshing and the rolls have great flavor. The guy who makes the sushi is very friendly and courteous
Just found this gem. Highly recommend sushi! Ordered four diff. selections and all were moist, fresh, and delicious.Absolutely give this location a try. Costs are competitive, too. Can’t wait for next visit!
Ballard’s best on four wheels?. Amazingly good sushi from Garden Sushi – Ballard’s own Sushi truck. All the fish was good, and the escolar tuna sashimi was exceptional, buttery sweet and creamy, with a hint of fresh sea. It was prepared in small amounts, which is a wise choice for consumers as it has high levels of gempylotoxin, an Omega-3 that can be a purgative in large amounts, but heavenly in small doses. Ballard’s best may be on four wheels.
Excellent sushi at a great price! Don’t be fooled by the location. Always fresh and love the ample size of Nigiri and Sashimi! If ordering to go, call ahead. Can take a bit as he is the one chef and its a hot spot.
Must Try!. Don’t let its looks deceive you. The truck/tent combo that is Garden Sushi puts out some seriously tasty Japanese cuisine. Parked at the Shell gas station at about NW 70th St. and 15th Ave. NW, it is easy to drive by without a second glance (or to be turned off by the juxtaposition of sushi and gasoline). But behind its unassuming facade, Garden Sushi’s Chef Tchering Lama (a Tibetan who boasts 10 years experience as a master sushi chef) prepares sushi rivaling any I have tasted in Seattle. We ordered several of the specialty rolls, and found them to be fresh, creative, and pleasing to the eye. The selection is good, and the prices are very reasonable, to boot.
