Skilled baristas. Excellent coffee. The barista’s are obviously well-trained. One made the best chai I’ve ever had. If you are vegan, they will make you a PB&J bagel upon request.

This is a gem of a place! Friendly funky interior with nice folks serving up fair trade, organic coffee.

Great coffee, mellow vibe, retro NW ambiance, friendly baristas and fly fishing links on their website–how cool is that? Mykiss vobiscum!

Lame. If you like getting yelled at then this is the place for you. Worst service I’ve ever had in a coffee shop.

Great Coffe Shop!!!. Yes the staff can be a little bit quirky, but that just goes with the territory in any good cafe. Bottom line for me is ALWAYS quality, and the Java Bean has the best latte in Seattle, hands down. The baristas are all knowledgeable about their craft, and while the food won’t blow you away it is decent and very creative for such a small place. If you want a sterile, boring environment and mediocre cup of jo by all means go to your corner Starbuck’s, SBC or Tully’s, but i’ll always go out of my way to spend my money at an excellent, locally & privately owned business. I should also mention the charming cabin decor and cozy fireplace which really round out the experience.
