Whether you are at a communal table with strangers or a small table with friends, you will have to resist the urge to ask for bites of your neighbors meals! Everything Ive had is delicious, and everything I havent tried looks delicious. Their chile rellenos are the best in Seattle, and Ive made a point to try them all. And the house margaritas are perfect on a hot day.

Definitely not your refried beans mexican place. Loved the quality of food here. The mole’ was brilliant and the tostidas were yummy. The food is fresh and incredibly flavoursome and transports you to another place. The seating is basic and the wooden stools were not the most comfortable, but that’s all one can complain about.

First time in a real cuban restaurant. Special margheritas they make are really teasty and are made of fruits and veggies you would never mixed. Try them (how many at one evening you can have?). Food – excellent! And reminded me my home food (e.g. ox tongue). You must try that one!Extra for men – check the poster in a restroom, while standing still there for a while !

Interesting flavors. There’s a lot of hype around this restaurant, and I was finally able to make it out to Ballard with a friend to give it a try. It’s not your typical cheese, beans, and rice type of Mexican cuisine. Instead there are flavorful cooked tender meats and their well known mole sauce (has some chocolate in it). I’m not typically a big fan of mole, but given that it seems to be their signature thing, I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised. The meat was tender and the mole flavor was rich. The prices weren’t too bad. The portions aren’t inedibly large like most Mexican restaurants. My only complaint is that we ended up seated near the entrance door which not only had a draft every time someone entered or exited, but it wouldn’t close all the way on its own either. Overall positive experience, though.
