My go to restaurant in Ballard. It has been almost a year since my first review and in that year Monkey Bridge has turned into my go to restaurant. I mostly get their pho which is amazing but I have branched out to some of the other items on their menu and everything I have tried is pretty good. Monkey Bridge is very convenient for an after work pick up order because they can get your order together quickly and parking in the area is usually abundant. I highly recommended this restaurant before and I still do.28 May, 2014Amazing Pho. I am no pho connoisseur but this was probably the best pho I have had. I had the beef pho with meatballs and look forward to trying their chicken. My wife had the ‘Monkey Bridge House Special Rice Noodle’ and it was also good but not nearly as good as the pho. Monkey Bridge also had really good service. My water glass was always filled. There is a lot of street parking but not sure how difficult it will be to find a spot on the weekend since that Ballard area can get pretty busy.

Love this place!. My husband and I ate here twice on our vacation to the area, and I highly recommend it! It’s cozy, the staff are friendly and efficient, and the food is delicious. I could eat the shrimp pho several times a week and probably would if I was a local! This a definite must-eat place.

Best meatballs ever. Broth is on the sweet side and no tendon on the menu but the meatballs are so tender and savory. Yum!

LOVE THIS PLACE!. We have been to many of Seattle’s wonderful restaurants, and Monkey Bridge remains on my favorites list. The food is consistently good, the vegetables always seem fresh, the service is GREAT. Even if they only have a 2 person waitstaff, they hustle to all the tables and we have never had to wait. Also, very pleasant. AND….the price is right. Cant beat that!

BLEHH covered in EEWWWW with a side of BLAND.. Tasteless is the first thing that goes through your mind with the first bite. Before our take-out last night, my only other trip to the Monkey Bridge was over 2 years ago. It was raining and I didnt feel like going any further so I figured Id give these guys another go. Maybe my memory had been unfair?Nope.I decided to try something that Ive never ordered anywhere the pork and egg stew. Listed for almost $15 and with a claim on the menu that its GOOD!, I couldnt resist. The soup was maybe 2.5 cups total and came with boned pork thats overly fatty and under seasoned in a broth that was kind of gross (says my husband, who will eat anything. I do mean ANYTHING). The boiled egg in the soup wasnt bad. Everything else was sub-par; the chicken was dry and overcooked, the steamed vegetables were literally just steamed frozen vegetables (no salt, even?), some grit-esque/chicken broth side came with the order and both the consistency and flavor were simply confusing. Really, the only item that had any flavor to speak of was the sweet chile sauce. In the end we had to season our own meal… Thank you Sriracha for saving this nasty, cheap meal. All for a grand total of $26 before tip for 2 items that we tossed before finishing. Pass right over the Monkey Bridge to the next place down the street, downpour or not.

Vegetarian Friendly. There are very few, if any Vietnamese places that serve flavorful vegetarian versions of my favorite dishes. Pho and Banh mi. Hands down the best in town. The curry and their crepe is hard too beat too. I eat here every week!
