My favorite tapas spot in all of Seattle! The place is tiny, but oh so cosy. Many a happy evenings have been spent perched on the bar stools along the window, and not minding the occasional jostling for elbow room. After all, there are some excellent tapas to be had (the croquetas made with goat cheese and the most amazing romesco sauce are to die for!) – the prices and portion sizes encourage you to try out quite a bit of their chalkboard menu. I hadn’t even known there is something called miticana cheese till I had some here (see, you even learn something new while you are having drinks- what’s not to love about that I say!!) And move over sangria, I prefer the delightful sagrada familia to wash it all down! Don’t miss the wonderful pan chocolate- crisp toast spread with gooey chocolate, and drizzled with truffle olive oil. One of the many little places I miss about Seattle, Ocho remains on my list of must-visit every time I go back to Seattle.

Get the Dates! You won’t be disappointed. The dates are to die for – stuffed with blue cheesed, wrapped in bacon (I believe) and drizzled with a balsamic reduction – I have come here just for the dates! They are very savory and I love them – but after a plate and a half I hit my limit – until the next visit. The Sangria is also noteworthy. Tasty and strong – it has never disappointed.
