THE Best Ice Cream in Seattle. Sorry, Molly Moon’s – Parfait kicks your butt. You’re good, but not as good.Adria makes sure that Parfait is very green! All of the disposable products at Parfait are currently compostable including cups, spoons, and napkins. She uses ALL organic ingredients (the only ice cream maker in Seattle that can claim this). The organic milk and cream is not just hormone free, but antibiotic free, and grass fed in season. It comes from Fresh Breeze Organic Dairy farm in Lynden, WA. The eggs are cage free and organic, from Stiebrs Farm in Yelm, WA. All of the fruit and herbs used are both local and certified organic as well. For the ingredients in ice cream that don’t grow at this latitude (sugar, cacao, coffee beans, vanilla), only certified organic products from companies that use sustainable, responsible practices are purchased. The sugar (Wholesome Sweeteners) and chocolate (Dagoba), for example are both fair trade and organic. The freezer is a special green freezer that charges on electricity at night and then requires no power during the day when in operation, no generators are used – just a small amount of battery power to operate the sink.Seek out this adorable ice cream truck – it’ll be worth it!
