Not sure … only been there once:. Food decently okay. Wait person distracted, could not even find her, and there were very few people dinning for dinner hour. Not sure yet, if we would go back for another experience. Other posters like it so there must be something worth while at Plaka Estiatorio.
Perfect. I’m embarrassed that I’d not only not been here until last weekend, but that I’d never even heard of it. Maybe the fact that I had no expectations helped, but I thought everything about Plaka Estatorio was perfect. The food was delicious – get the butcher’s plate to try all sorts of meaty delights. The Avgolemono was balanced and the baklava sundae was insane (ly good). The atmosphere is comfortable for a nice meal out without being overly fancy. Yay!

Never judge a place by the outside, since the inner parts of this restaurant is truly comfortable and amazing. The food was delicious from start to finish. The gyro platter is definitely worth every penny you put in. Inside you’ll find great servers and staff that are always friendly and ready to make your stay enjoyable. Definitely one of my new favorite places to eat whenever I visit Seattle.
So good, we already went back. First off, my overall rating of a restaurant is whether I’d go back somewhere. Mrs Ballard_Eater and I went here last Thursday with some friends, and we shared a fantastic tasty feast. Our very friendly waiter suggested some small plates and dips and then we shared a weekly seafood pasta special. Accompanied by a Greek rose and finished with a filo-wrapped berry dessert, we had such a nice meal we went back the next night to just have gyro and salads to go. My wife also claimed her baklava was the best she ever had. We’ll be back again.
Plaka Estiatorio. One of the best Greek Restaurants in Seattle, and clearly the best in Ballard. Wonderful family atmosphere. I usually start with the red pepper tzatiki sauce. I love the Lamb, the Gyro, shoot EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious. Don’t forget to save room for desert…if you can!
