I’ve been to Porkchop for breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner. They were recommended for their outrageous breakfasts (what a deal they are!), but I kept coming back. The sandwiches are epic, especially the vegetarian ones: the beet and the cauliflower sandwiches are ridiculously flavorful . But I love meat, so the porkchop sandwich, the porchetta , the homemade pastrami, the chicolino, and the Howard sandwiches are my most favorites every time I eat them. I hear the chicken and fish products are just as delightful. But all in all, I think the small plates and dinners are their best. The cuisine at Porkchop & Co is incredibly creative, so I pretty much go for the specials. I’m a regular, so I get good advice. I’ve never been disappointed. The bar products are also excellent. The mixes are creative and they don’t skimp on the amount, all at a great price. Good wine list, very appropriate to the menu. Wow. I’m writing too much, but I must say I feel so very comfortable at this establishment. I like the warm environment and I’m grateful for the quality and freshness of the ingredients I get for the price. I’ve eaten in a lot of restaurants, and I know it’s a lucky break to find a restaurant that had such sophisticated food made with such fresh, high quality ingredients at a price I can afford almost daily. By its service and the quality of the product, I feel that this restaurant respects me in every way.

They’re tucked away in a side street in Ballard, and I found the restaurant by chance. What a delight! The Pork Belly Hash was so good, I think I lost some time just savoring the flavors. Absolutely mind-blowing! I’ll definitely be back for more.

Impressive and will be back for more. Porkchop & Co. has been on my wish list for a while now and thus we decided to head there for lunch yesterday. The place gives me the warm welcoming atmosphere and the waiters/waitresses are friendly and knowledgeable about their product! Since it’s our first time there, we decided to give the Porkchop Sandwich and Lunch Salad a try. We ordered the food at the counter and then it was brought to our table. Since they recommend we share the sandwich, which I am very glad we did, they actually halved our sandwich with each halved of the pork chop cooked perfectly well and tender. If I was really hungry, I could very well polished the whole 9oz bone-in pork chop and it is served in a bun with lettuce, pickles, spicy mayo, and salsa verde. The ingredients mix really well and it creates a balanced harmony in my mouth. The Lunch Salad that we ordered was really refreshing too and I especially love the pickled onions and the crunchy hazelnut. The sauce incorporated was just nice as it did not drench the greens. We will definitely head back to try out more as the menu is not just about pork chop but there are other treasures too that I want to try!

Yeah! I love the concept. But I hated the execution of the meal.. I was really excited when I looked at the menu outside the door at Porkchop & Co. They have lots of items on the menu I found appetizing, but the sandwich I ordered wasn’t very good.I ordered the pastrami sandwich with mustard and sweet sauerkraut. The sandwich sounded great but putting it into practice was mostly a disaster. The rye bread was over toasted and very dry. It was so dry, in fact, that it made the sandwich uncomfortable to chew. With every bite it pierced the soft skin of my mouth. The Pastrami was very tasty, but it was also tough in texture and there were two big pieces of gristle attached to the meat that were inedible. There was very little cheese on the sandwich also. For $12.00 you only get a small sandwich for your money and no side like cole slaw, potato salad or even chips as part of the meal. I was glad I ordered a beer to wash the sandwich down with.Walking up to the register and ordering is easy and the food came out quickly. They had Reuben’s Brews beer on the menu, which is a plus in my book.I’ll give them another chance, but the first visit was not great because of the poor quality of the sandwich.(Pictures are posted of the menu items.)
